Lego City Advent Calendars only £15

I bought one of these for my son last year, he loved it, definately worth £15 as they are all little people / characters.
I wouldnt pay anymore for one, However, i piad £20 for my sons and a few days into december there was a massive pile of them in a basket in argos for £9.97, so i got a second one for my nephew.

Anybody know why the prices of Advent Calendars have gone up massively this year. I'm sure I paid 13.99 for a Lego calendar last year ! I found a Lego City one for 18.99 at Amazon via Advent Calendars and that was the best deal I could find !

If anyone can get hold of the snowman lego from the Mirror's free voucher (collect in WHSmiths) there's a loop on the snowman's hat, for hanging on the tree

We were talking about this saying we wish we had held off and not brought as now have the Mirror paper offer Lego (and sweets on alternate days) which we could have used in our own advent calender now our DS will just be double lucky - this advent calender and the lego in his stocking
