hi, ive got an old copy of advanced spyware remover installed, i dont use it and just tried to uninstall it but i get the message cannot uninstall file unins000.dat could not be found-this happens whether i use the built in uninstaller or add and remove-how do i get rid of it? ta

try using the uninstaller in ccleaner0

how about installing the latest version, then uninstall..
if the installer log file is missing, then the only option is to do it manually, remove the program files directory, then remove the registry entries, then remove all the other files installed, but without the log of installation changes, the last step is difficult.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

Yes sometimes reinstall will fix it as the uninstall program/script can get corrupted over time.0
