There is a new improved and more expensive Top-Up TV, and the old ordinary one is having less and less programmes yet costs the same.
So how do they do it?
Under their terms 4.4 Programming they say, We are constantly looking to improve the Service. This may mean that some parts of the Service you recieve (including TV channels) may be discontinued......
I have e-mailed to ask how cutting channels and charging the same is an improvement and what guarantees they give that the new service will not be cut.
But no reply

In the next couple of weeks the "old" TUTV will cease to exist and the only way you will be able to receive the programmes will be to buy one of their hard-disk recorders which "grabs" the programmes overnight. Your old subscription will no longer be valid.
This is already catching out retailers who are selling the old-style TUTV boxes. Last week I had a flyer through the door from Netto selling one of these for £29.99. I emailed Netto to point out the changes and saying that the boxes would be no good for TUTV. They replied the next day saying that they were aware of the problem, had knocked £2 off the price and were now selling them as just ordinary Freeview boxes and offering to refund anyone who were not satisfied with the deal.
I believe someone on this board had the same problem with Comet but in that case they had to fight long and hard to get thier money refunded. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Yep- I have been a bit peeved with all the changes that have been going on with it over the last few days- channels not available etc. ad ramming TUTV anytime at us
I think my subscription will be cancelled in due course!0 -
Thanks everyone,
I think that it's probably not a bad service. It is just the cheezy way it is presented.
I couldn't understand what was happening to the old service because they were too busy saying how good the new one was!!0 -
Does anyone happen to know that if you cancel your TUTV subscription whether you can still purchase the PPV SPL footy matches on Setanta??0
