BG - Homecare 200 ?

i am planning to get the homecare 200 plan with BG mainly beacuase our top floor 4 radiators are luke warm and the bottom 3 radiators are cold. we were out on a holiday for a month and when we came back the radiators were not getting heated up. the water is boiling hot thought and i dont think there is anything wrong with the system it's just that the radiators are not getting heated up. i bled the radiators for 2-3 minutes each yesterday and it did not work. i am pretty sure if i take the homecare 200 plan the engineer will tell me to go for powerflush at the cost of 300-400£ ... any advice?

BG, understandably, will not take you on as a customer with a faulty system.

I suspect that a powerflush with BG will cost a bit more than £300-£400 if some of that posts on here are to be believed.

It might be the pump but if it's the system that needs flushing bg are more like 6 - 700 with their life of contract guarantee. Your system will get a first visit though and if the pump has failed that is a chargeable repair to bring it up to the condition it needs to be in to come onto a naintenance contract.
  • so its best to take the plan .. get the first visit n if the pump is faulty then they will fix it at no extra cost (looking to go for the homecare 200 but not the flexi option)?

BG will not take you on because you have a fault. It is like crashing your car then taking car insurance...

Get a gas safe engineer to diagnose the problem and then pay for the repair which sounds like a build up of sludge in the rads which would not even be covered under BG Hc 200 anyway.
