A friend said to me that insurance gets cheap around a certian time of the year... Is this true? I mean, I must admit, in March of this year the insurance was £100 less then when quoted now... Is it around the start of every year?

did your friend tell you what insurance they were on about?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Car insurance has gone up a lot recently, so it's very possible the increase you've seem is because of the hikes across the industry.0

Most Insurers constantly change their rates. They can vary from day to day, sometimes hour by hour. The rates are very rarely static these days, with the rates being managed by sophisticated computer programs, with constant tinkering by analysts.
I am not sure whether there are times of the years when Car Insurance quotes may be obtained at a cheaper rate. Perhaps when the new car registrations are out and Insurers are competing for this spike in business. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
