Walk To Supermarket

Omg, I must walk more. I am about 10 mins max from Tesco and always get the car out. Always buy too much and need to get fitter.
This is such a no brainer, my excuse is lack of time, but the only thing I have to get home for is Bargain Hunt!

waitrose is about a 40 mile round trip, we do try to only go to the supermarket on the way home so it saves going out and in again as its on the route back . can't walk to work either as its a 70 mile round trip :mad:0 -
If walking, do take a rucksack. Yes, I know you're trying to limit your spending, but look after your back as well....:)
I always try to walk (but also visit if passing in the car). :A Waitrose is our nearest (pricey!) and if I have time/am feeling virtuous I will walk a mile each way to Sainsbury's or Tesco's.....Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
And if you shop at Tescos and take a rucksack, stuff a few extra bags from a previous trip before you go to get extra clubcard points. Annoyingly they seem to base the number of points they give you on the number of plastic bags you use, rather than the number you would have used but didnt, if you see what I mean, which means I only get 2 per trip as I stuff as much as I can in my rucksack to try to leave myself with a light bag for each hand. Doesn't really fit with them saying they don't care how you get your shopping home - none of the examples in their ad would have got anything!
edit - I have just emailed Tesco about this as I had to respond to a related query anyway, so maybe this will change soon.0
