Hi all,
Based in Cyprus at the mo and our travel insurance has just expired. We're looking at doing some travelling whilst here and obviously back to the UK.
Can we just insure with a UK company or does it have to be one that caters for you having an address abroad?
Thanking you

I think we have to insure through a forces insurers because your not travelling from the UK.0

We struggled to find travel insurance due to no UK address, however do have a UK bank account that is registered to our BFPO address, and we discovered that could be upgraded to include travel insurance as part of it's package.0

Forces Finance and several other similer companies offer financial services and insurance specially designed for people in the armed forces so give them a ring.....0

we have travel insurance with Trinity which does specialist forces insurance. We have just been posted to the US and they have allowed us to change the address to our US address. Might be worth a try.:T Quidco - £210.12:j0

We used JBI Insurance (located in Reading) while based in Cyrpus, great annual policy (covers watersports and skiiing etc) and good value. they also knowcked off the Insurance tax (as outside UK) and were very happy with our BFPO address as they specialise in military.
Been with them for a few years now - never claimed yet but they seem good.
Did it over the phone with them.
Hope that helps.0 -
Used JBI too when posted in Gib and they were great, even when we had to claim0
