Tesco TV and Sky Media UK

I bought a TV in the New Year this year from Tesco Direct, collected from my local store.
To try and keep it brief, in the instruction pack was some information saying if there were any problems with the TV to contact Sky Media UK rather than Tescos. The TV developed a fault within 6 months of collection date, so I phoned SM UK, they collected, repaired and returned the TV. A few weeks later the same fault re-appeared, the TV was collected, repaired and returned. Now a month later the same fault again.
This time I phoned Tescos to complain about the company they are using and to request a replacement as I think 2 attempts to fix a problem is reasonable.
Tesco's however claim they can only repair ir again, and in fact as I have used SM UK I can no longer deal with Tesco's, only SM UK. To which my reponse was I only called SM UK as that is what the instructions with the TV said. Having checked a few things on the internet it appears that my contract is still with Tesco's, (as they are the seller,) and therefore they should deal with me, not SM UK.
Am I entitled to ask for a replacement from Tesco?
