Computer keep testing memory during boot up - aaarrrggghhh!!!

    Have you got dual boot? Some linux systems stick a memory chceck on the bootloader?

  • I still can’t find the POST settings. I have checked every screen and there is no option for this. I have employed all the default settings hoping that this would have worked but no luck!

    Olly, I don’t have a linux system, but thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated.

    Can anyone else help as this is really starting to wind me up!!!

    POST is simply an acronym for Power On Self Test.

    When you enter the BIOS, try the second option on the list. What you're looking for is a label called Quick Power on Self Test. You should change this setting to Enabled, then F10, Y, and Enter.

    Failing this, tell us what you machine make and model is. Might be easier to find which screen it's on then.
