Hi,
Just purchased Mcafee Security Suite 2006 and have installed it on my PC. At present, I also have AVG free edition installed and am running Windows XP SP2.Can I have them side by side or will I have to disable AVG? One of my concerns is that there will be a systems drag. Also Win XP comes with a Firewall pre-installed.

If you have purchased and installed Mcafee Security Suite, uninstall AVG and switch off the Windoze firewall. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

The McAfee installation may have mucked about with the AVG. Restart in safe mode then try to uninstall AVG there.

RegCleaner should uninstall it for you. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
You can keep AVG if you want, but you have to configure both the AVs... (add both of them to eachother's trusted zone for fileAV)... or else, KABOOMMMM!... (crash, unstable, majorly slow PC)0
