respray this?

Hi all,

I hit the back of my car yesterday as I was reversing. And got quite a lot of damage on the car.

The car is for sale. I was wondering if you think this is worth repairing before I sell it? If it is repairable at all? And whether you know roughly the cost of repair?

The car is a VX Astra.

I reckon as long as there's no actual cracking to the plastic then that could smart repair, no idea of cost though.

The first picture shows stretched and cracked plastic (in fact it looks like its been repainted before), but the whole thing could easily be tidied up by your local friendly bodyshop. You might instead like to do a search online for a bumper from a breakers though. Its a standard colour and back bumpers are more readily available than fronts secondhand.

My local bodyshop charges £150 to respray a bumper and do a minor repair on it.

Get yourself on to some breakers mate. My friend just picked up a mint condition rear bumper for his 06 astra coupe for £85. Car was absolutely ruined from the doors onwards, but the back was fine :)
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
