Delete history button shaded out

I cant seem to clear my history on my pc. Have bought hubby a Bday prezzie and surfed loads of sites for it. I dont want him to see any of these sites so went to clear history but the button is shaded out and wont work. I can change the amount of days to keep history but it still doesnt make the button work. I am on BT Yahoo is this helps.

Has anyone got any ideas?

    Which browser are you using?

If it's Internet Explorer try deleting "cookies" or "temporary internet files" by going to tools>Internet Options. This should also clear your history. Alternatively, open History and go through and delete them manually.

    Hope that helps.

Hiya its IE. I have already deleted the above but the history still remains. Also I just went to do it again and my internet options box seem to locked. Just kept flashing at me and I couldnt close it.

Think it my be my yahoo browser that isnt helping as my bookmarks have a mind of their own. Just seems wierd that the button has suddenly decided to shade itself out?

Can I ask how I get to history to manually delete entries? Thanks for your tips.
