Growing ramsons
I havent been able to find any ramsons nearby - so I've decided to have a go at growing some in my tiny garden on the one hand and plant some in the nearby woodland (where I would have expected to find some - as it seems a suitable habitat for them) on the other hand.
To date - I've come across one website selling ramson seeds and another selling ramson bulbs <confused smilie?
Errr...which way does it come? Does it matter if its seeds or bulbs? (obviously it would be preferable as seeds - much cheaper! and I could buy loads to scatter round freely in suitable places nearby:D). Whats the best place to get some from?
Also - whats the best time of year to plant:
- seeds
- bulbs
and any other tips on this would be welcome please.

Wild Garlic.
Either way.
About now.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Sorry - came back to say that personally, i'd not put them into any woodland; it may be a suitable habitat but they can colonise huge areas really quickly and if they aren't there now they shouldn't be introduced. Just let nature take it's course, and grow them at home where you can manage them yourself. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I have it in seed form and grow it in pots, as well as under a tree in my garden. It's cheaper that way and, as I am not needing it for a while, I can let it naturalise in my garden.Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

I got some seeds I think it was from 'Suffolk herbs'. Apparently germination can be a bit hit & miss. In my case it was one big miss as not a single one came up. I'm going to try again though.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
