chinese scam mail by post within uk

Anyone had the usual scam (used to be nigerian) ie someone died left money etc etc actually addressed to me by name and address and posted in the uk by first class stamp ?

Ive just ripped it up and binned it i was gonna take it to the cop shop but thought id be taking up their time.

These scammers are getting worse no longer do they just scam your email but perhaps now they are checking the electrol roll ?

Anyway just wondered if anyone else had had this recently.

Prior to the world wide web, '419' scams were carried out by snail mail.

I've been having some friendly email exchanges with a scammer recently. Says he's in Hong Kong but he could be anywhere. Most of my replies are about the good works I do in the community and how helpful his $26m will be. This wek I've been visiting the sick and bringing in firewood for the elderly. I've ignored his increasingly desperate plees for me to open a bank account and am working up to asking him to send a Western Union transfer to help local single mothers whose hubbies were in Iraq.

Anyone know a good way to send a huge illegible file of gobbledygoog that I can claim is a scan of my passport?

Absolutely - take any DLL file from your windows directory, MAKE A COPY of it, and rename the copy "passport.jpg", that or send him a link like this <passport.jpg>

What you're doing is known as "scambaiting", there is a huge community of scambaiters over at 419eater.com who will make sure you're baiting safely and be an absolute powerhouse of great ideas for you!!
