Christmas Stockings

I like the idea of a small tin of something odd..... but I'd take the label off!
I always put a single teabag in OH's stocking, but wrapped in really fancy paper and smothered in bows and glitter
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

I like the idea of a gingerbread man poking out of the top!

Chatham - I am going to sound really dim, but I have never seen a sugar mouse (I know!!) - where would you get one?!

When I was a child we always had "real" stockings. They look so small when you put them on the bed but stretch over a metre long. We use 1/2 a pair of tights now which we fill with small toys, DVDs, chocolates etc. We always put a torch in the top so that they can keep the lights off and explore the stocking.0

I live near Blackpool so I get them in our rock shop but other shops sometimes sell them, sugar pigs too! You know the old fashioned sweets shops, the ones which specialise in selling old fashioned sweets I mean, like aniseed balls and gobstoppers? They often have them and there are several online ones, Google sugar mouse and they will come up. Cost a bit for P&P but if you could make it worthwhile by buying other stuff as well and they'd make good gifts. Sometimes the chain stores do them too, they seem to be coming back into fashion.0
