Postage To Jersey

Ive just had a buyer from Jersey.
The item they won is very bulky so Im trying to work out the best way to send it to them and using which company.
The package weighs 27kg.
To be honest, Ive put UK shipping at £30 but wasnt expecting an Islander to buy it (no offence to any islanders) so it kinda messes up the calculations I made for mainland postage.
Any ideas on who I should ship with?

Parcel force international standard is just over 20 pounds with insurance included up to 150 pounds. This assumes that the size is such that the volumetric weight is not greater than 27kg. Multiply length x breadth x height in cm and divide by 6000 to get a volumetric 'weight'. Carriers will use whichever is greater.0

what is the item link, is there any way you can save 2kg of weight as then you could use parcel2go.com with quidco for cashback.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007

No you're OK with Parcel Force. 20kg is the UK limit but it's 30kg for some international destinations. On the web site price a delivery enter it as international and scroll down to Jersey - £20.85 international standard. My only concern is that the weight you quote includes the packaging as you're getting close to the maximum weight. I think you can send International standard from most POs - best to check first before you lug it down there. I imagine you will need to fill in Parcel Force's huge international form (requires your phone number and recipient's and lots of info) as the Channel Islands need a customs declaration.0

To clarify
Standard parcels within the UK has a maximun weight of 20 kilo
Parcelforce has a range of products, one of which is international standard parcels that is what martindow is quoting....there are size restrictions here ...... cant remember off the top of my head BUT as I was looking at it today (!!) I think its maybe a combined all the way round both ways of 3 metres and the biggest single measurement is 1 and half metres. I will double check though!
I think you can prob enter the size on the pf website,

Yes the price of £20.85 was obtained putting in the dimensions. The actual size gives a cube weight of less than 27kg. The size of the parcel is within the size limits I think. Perhaps best to phone PF to double check everything.0
