Is it me or does anyone else find?

I have never had this issue. I have also not had the same hairdresser more then twice. I do have very dry hair though and think rinsing too much would do me no favors if they were leaving any product in!
It could be the leave-in products they apply too? again I never have had this problem so I don't know if your talking about a weight down feeling or an itchy feeling.
I'd also mention it to the hairdresser- they only know somethings wrong when you tell them and if no one ever says anything they never know and cannot improve.
However if your seeing a new hairdresser every time maybe start off the session by saying "I have had so many hairdressers not rinse my hair enough and it itches/feels odd afterwards" and this is their cue to then wash and rinse thoroughly.0 -
I'll just speak up (in the nicest possible way) if anything's wrong ... ....if they don't take any notice of me or it's apparent they don't like it being mentioned, I'll consider going elsewhere!
My last salon was excellent, but one young girl who washed my hair used to miss out massaging the shampoo into the back part of my head everytime, she just went round and round the edges!!
I have changed recently to a much cheaper salon, so I can justify having my roots done more often. It's fairly no-frills, but friendly and the stylist does a nice blow-dry, but I couldn't believe what happened last time. My hair is thick and now quite long. I was at the back-wash having the colour rinsed off by the junior. When she wanted me to lift up my head to rinse the back, she gathered my hair into a bunch in her hand and yanked my head up by pulling my hair :eek:. I was so gobsmacked that I actually laughed to myself in disbelief. She carried on rinsing and the next time she went to do it, I resisted, kept my head firmly pressed down and asked sweetly if she would like me to lift up my head! We'll see how we get on next time!!0 -
i would tell the assistant to rinse properly, after all you are paying for it! that saying i always ask for a dry cut0

i've never had that (my hair is pretty thick and frizzy, so it needs a fair old rinse too!) - i find the wash i get at the hairdresser is better than what i do at home (i swear that's half the reason my hair looks better!). find a different salon (and if you can find one that automatically does a head massage with the conditioner, it's a bonus!).:happyhear0

I've often had this problem-they usually shampoo the nape of the neck throughly and then not rinse it off so I'm itchy until I get home and rewash it! I have thick hair as well and I often leave residue myself as it takes forever to rinse clean, so I never bother complaining. I just get dry cuts now and wash it before I go.0

Change hairdressers or tell the assistant that they haven't done their job properly. I also tell them not to use heavy shampoo which weighs my hair down. You're paying for a service and they're not delivering it so speak up.4.30: conduct pigeon orchestra...0

Not really on-topic, but being a non-smoker, I can't stand it when the hairdresser cuts my hair with stinky cigarette hands!!
Is it just me?Debt at Highest: £11,630.10 (May 2006) Debt now: £0.00 !!!!Married to the man of my dreams :A - Sat 2nd June 20070 -
I don't know whether its rubbish rinsing or all the product that gets left in,but i find i always need to wash my hair as soon as possbile after going to the hairdressers as it feels lank and sticky. In also hate the way all hairdressers feel the need to completly flatten all life out of naturally big hair. They seem so shocked when i repeatedly insist i don't want it straightened.
I have long thick hair, andn i often use a rise out conditiner on the lenght as a leave in product so i never thought it would be that.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
They should always rinse out properly, shampoos and conditioners. Only if it is a specifically 'leave in' product, obviously then they should leave it in.
The last 2 TIMES at my hairdressers the junior girls who have rinsed out my colour haven't removed it properly from the nape of my neck. It is so annoying. My hairdresser has gone to cut it after my colour and has said, oh, really sorry there is still a bit of tint left there, and I've had to go back to the sink and have it rinsed out again - wasting my time as well!! I'm already in there for 2 hours having a cut and colour - arrgghhh!!
I would colour it at home myself but I'm too scared of getting the colour wrong!

When I go to my new salon, I will say that I find shampoo & conditioner are not rinsed from my hair properly and hope this makes them start the way I want them to carry on.
Don't know why I stayed with my current hairdresser for so long, its always been a battle with her always wanting to put lots of finishing products in my hair which would make it feel even stickier.0
