How infuriating is a missed call when you are a comper?

Today I missed a call from 'unknown' caller on my mobile number which I use for comping and I feel gutted. Why? because the possibilies of what I could have won but missed out on are endless. Could be an ipad, an ITV comp, a holiday...I will just never know :mad:.

Why as compers do we do this to ourselves because chances are it was a spam call...but then again!

ITV calls are not an unknown number! hope they ring you back and tell you you've won something fabulous! x

Its drives me mad, i use the house phone on the odd occasion if i enter under my OH name if its a really big comp. I had a missed call on fri at 7pm off withheld and one today during the daytime. I never get withheld calls and next to noone has our home number, am tempted not to work or leave the house for anything until they call back!

I had two missed calls today whilst at work, 1 from a withheld number, and 1 from a number i didnt recognise!
lol, tried to get hold of the number, but the withheld one is niggling at me now lol!

Did you enter the caprisun text comp? I had a call on a withheld number today and it was them telling me I had be charged 50p by mistake and they wanted my details to send me a cheque for the difference and a £1 coca-cola voucher...

Had the same call and the number was anonymous. Refund of 50p plus a £1 voucher...

what is also infuriating is getting a card through the post to say someone has tried to deliver and they will be coming back the next day when you are also going to work, you try the tel number on the card and noone answers.....

then the next day they leave another card...

I had a unknown call at around 5pm, I did enter the capri comp but I am fairly sure I was only charged 12p so it may not be that, but with the amount unknown calls today may well be!

Hope they call you back soon and it is a lovely win

Hi, It was the capri sun people who really oddly and bizarrely enough, called me at exactly the same time as previously, 3.17. I'm just imagining a marketing person sitting there waiting for the clock to turn to exactly 3.17 before dialling the number. :rotfl:

The cards through the door that annoy me are the ones that arrive on a Friday or Saturday (particularly over a Bank Holiday) that just give the surname, no indication by initial of which member of the family it's for whatsoever yet you have to go in person to pick it up. You have to practically make a family outing out of it.
