  • You must be well chuffed now. :rotfl: What was the problem? Did they have to build a power station first?

I'm sorry to inform you that prices went up 20% this morning as per the letter I received on Friday. I'm not sure however if that is online customers only so you may be OK.

Hi Gambler, just a tip check your direct debits once they have been set up. I have just realised that Ive been paying 3 directs debits and therefore have been paying someone elses gas for 4 months. When they set my account up they put my details onto someone elses account. I was fuming and have sent them a stinking letter!

Thanks but the DD's are ok, apart from they tried to up the gas from £31 to £55 ! Ended up with £35 after I phoned them.

    Hi,

I also did switch "recently" (mid july) to EDF and I am dual fuel online also, but I received the letter for prices increase yesterday too (in addition to the July one)! I am livid since I am paying now more than if I didn't switch at all!!!!!

  • Be careful about DD payments. Great that you are paying £31 instead of £55 but if you are using £55 worth of energy per month, they will ask you for this money at some point. Better to pay a realistic figure from the start so that you don't get any suprises along the way.

You will be paying £21 per month less than they are suggesting. If you are using £55 of energy per month, you would end up with a debt of £288 over a year and they will ask you for this.
