Reset IE to defaults under tools, internet options, advanced, this will remove all your toolbars
Spybot will slow things down too.
post a hijackthis log, details of installed ram and commit charge and peak commit from task manager, performance!!

Keep getting error message with hijackthis that system denied write access and that i need to Run and type: notepad C;\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and save as 'hosts' but when i do it says i do not havve permission! Used to be able to Run as admin but i do not have the option on W7!

Nex problem, when i try and save the log file, i get a notepad error that says:
cannot find the C:\Program Files\hijackthis.log file. Then asks do you want to create a new file?
Y/N/Cancel
When i presssed Yes i just get a blank norepad screen
Pleeeaase help!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Tried system restore and that didn't help.
Still cannot get the hijack this log, is there anything els i can do?
Please help me before i pull all my hair (whats left!) out!!!!!!

whilst pressing the SHIFT key, RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (Admin)
ALso, make sure its definitely hijack youve dwnloaded:idea:0 -
Get a can of compressed air and give the heatsink a good blowout. You'll probably find wads of fluff coming out.0

Have downloaded Hijack again from Donnies link in 2nd post. Does it matter which i install 1st as there is a .exe and a .msi file in my downloads?
