or use all the credit then send the phone to https://www.envirofone.co.uk and get £9.98 for it so £35 of credit would cost you a tenner

Yeh or £11.48 in Argos vouchers - plus don't forget an extra £1.49 from quidco on trade in.

I've just bought one - sim card definately not glued - they inserted it in the store (said that was one of the terms) and phoned up and activated the phone. Apparently the credit does expire after 60 days. Also it says on £30 credit rather than £35 as per OP. But thanks to OP anyway - my easymobile sim has just run out of credit (though I just got my £19 cashback from quidco) - so this £30 will easily last me for another 60 days!

Incidentally can anyone remind me which companies allow you to buy things with mobile credit? I'm sure I heard of some?

  • Before I bought my two phones I asked if there was an expriy date and was told my two members of staff not anymore. Just checked and it is 60 days.

However top ups do not expire I know that for certain. Not too pleased as I was going to put them away for crimbo

The offer was £30 credit, I think the OP made a mistake, the offer is in the Sun and def says £30.
Many thanks to the OP I bought this phone today and is a great improvement on my old Nokia.

From the end of this year '3' will be using the Orange 2G (GSM) network for roaming when out of '3' coverage area, so if you can lock these onto GSM only mode, then it could be worth it if you can still use the credit when roaming?

That's interesting, they are moving from O2 then?? Insider info??? ;)
