3 credit does not expire anymore only the add ons. If it does expire then i suspect it may be an old sim card but doubt it.0

I was going to buy credit anyway for my ancient phone,if i manage to get 1,it's not bad £35.00 worth of calls for £20.00 :A:T It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. :T

That's even better. You could buy the phone, use all the free credit, then return a phone for a refund. If the sim socket is covered with glue it is clearly defective.0 -
Mine, bought last week, does not have the SIM glued in but it does have a sticker on the box saying "permanently locked to the 3 network" which may or may not be true.0
