Steel bath

I've just had a new bathroom put in over the weekend. the old bath is steel and sitting out the back waiting on the council coming to collect it and the rest of the suite.

My dad mentioned that I could get some money for the bath from a scrap yard.

Does anyone know how much I would be looking to get for an old bath? Also got some copper piping and brass taps from the sink and bath.

Thanks in advance

I doubt that you would get anything for a bath, but you would get something for non ferrous metals.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

My scrap dealers are buying steel at 11p / kilo. A bath is probably 25 kilos, so you will get less than £3.00. Copp;er is about £3.00 per kilo, so well worth selling it to the scrap man as are the Brass taps (app. £2.00/kilo). You might have £10.00- £15.00 in non ferrous, so worth a trip to the scrapman.

Leave the bath out the front for the !!!!! fairies. It will be gone within an hour.
