I have signed up to do OU K101, an introduction to health and social care, which is an entry year to many degrees inclduing nursing, social work, working with children etc. I am really impressed with everything so far and start properly on 2nd Oct. I am not sure if things are the same in NI but I would imagine so. I think you would be too late to register now for this year but I believe they start again in February. The best advice I can give you is to phone the OU helpline: I did after my last lone parent meeting at DSS and they were far more help than my advisor. The site is pretty busy I think for the next couple of weeks but after that it is well worth giving them a call. You may even get some funding help if your income is low.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

I couldn't agree more - I've been pleasantly surprised since registering on the same course as suzi and wish I'd gone with the ou from the start of my time in HE tbh.0
