just looking into insuring my tools held overnight in my work car, cant find much info, previously my company has refused to be held liable through their own insurance and say its a matter for my own home insurance but dont see anything in my policy that would cover this, any ideas or experience of this and any recommendations if i have to take out a seperate policy

You will probably need a separate policy. See your local broker (or maybe try Adrian Flux)0

I've used Towergate and Axa for mine.0

Be careful & check the policy wording. Most will exclude tools left in a vehicle overnight.0
