Gas installation
I'm planning to get gas central heating installed to my flat, but before this is possible, I need to get gas pipes and a meter installed.
The flat has never had gas before, but there are gas pipes running to other flats in the same block - so presumably it shouldn't be too big a job.
I phoned British Gas to get them give me a quote for installation, but apparently it is likely to be 2-3 months before the gas is actually installed. I really cannot wait this long as it will seriously affect timescales for other structural work I am having done on the flat.
1. Who else can install gas to my flat other than British Gas?
2. Do you think it will be possible to beat British Gas's estimate of 2-3 months?

British gas do not install gas - they will contact the gas network (the people who own the pipes in the street) to arrange this where do you live and I will tell you who you can contact direct to get a priceI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
