Deep fat frier

As in another post my deep fat frier died.
I have heard back from Russel Hobbs telling me to send it back for repair or replace and the retailer has closed down.
Now my gripe is that they sat the onus is on the customer to pay the postage to them and this cost cannot be reimbursed.
Surely, this is not right, its hardly my fault that the appliance had broken down after 6 months of infrequent use.
Anyone any thoughts.

thought it was a Morphy Richards?...you have contacted the right people?
and it's not their fault the shop you purchased it from (who you have a contract with) closed down.I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

normally the shop you buy from would stand the return costs to manufacturer, they've gone out of business, so that's why you have to pay the return cost...at least this way you'll get a new fryer for just the cost of postage.....or not if you don't send it back.I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
