letter of tax credits asking for prooof of childcare,p60,proof of hours worked ect.

hi

i have recieved a letter of the tax creds aking for proof of p60 for last year,any p45,contract with childcare provider and any recipts,its not from the usual address that tax cred letters come from its fromb & c compliance operation charles house preston,has any one eles had one of these letters as im not sure if its geniune or its someone trying to fraud hope some one can help thanks stephanie.

  • Yes, tax credits do sometimes ask for these details. Is there a number on the letter? Have you tried calling it?

    It's genuine. TCO do random checks on claims to ensure there's no fraud. Your childcare provider should be able to confirm your costs if you haven't kept your receipts.
