Quick Question on Deposting a Cheque

Hi
My Grandmother, who is now getting on and becoming quite forgetful has sent me a cheque.
I need to put it into my account immediately, however, I've just seen that she has signed it twice.
Once where she should, and then again in the numerical amount box instead of the amount she is paying.
She has written the amount textually, but obviously there is no numerical version...just an extra signature.
Is it still valid if I add the numerical amount next to the box?
Thanks

There's a remote chance it might make it through the clearing process if the cashier at your bank doesn't notice when they accept the cheque, but the chances are the cashier will refuse it.0

It will depend on the value of the cheque - small amount not a problem anything over £500 might be.0
