Butts Indoors
For those growing in greenhouses and tunnels it is the right time to move your water butts inside.
Wash them and fill them with tap water (prevents disease), raise them up and let them soak up the heat of the day.
During the night the butt acts as a radiator releasing the days heat slowly and keeping the temperature up.
Daytime indoor temps up here on the Pennines are yet to drop below 22 even on grey days and there is nothing better than a warm butt during the night to help your cucumbers grow.

If you dont have space for that then collect the large plastic milk bottles they work just as well. However if you want to do a "proper" job then the heat sink is the way to go.
