Done it, ordered new car.
Well finally I have ordered my new car......Skoda Fabia Estate Greenline 2.
Skodas version of the eco car, same engine as the VW Polo Bluemotion.
Went for the Skoda as its a bit cheaper and a bit bigger I reckon, being a small estate. Will be quite a difference for me though, trading in my trusty Citroen Berlingo.
Looked into the deals online etc and ended up getting a deal from my local skoda dealer.
List price £13,740
skoda offering the vat free deal just now
drive the deal £11,500 exc delivery to Scotland/or collection costs and with no trade in option.
My dealer went to £12,100, £900 for my car So £11,200 to change and flung in the mats and a full tank.
Any thoughts, good deal ? (pls tell me it was)
Did seriously consider the drive the deal option but as delivery of car will be dec/jan and my car needs tax, mot, come march and a service, 4 new tyres, and theres something going on with the suspension right now, didn't want to spend any more on it.

Sounds like a good deal for a new car!
They're extremely economical, so you'll be saving a fair bit on fuel.
Aren't they free from car tax too?0 -
£11,200 all in is a lot of car packed with safety and engine tech. I remember buying a Corsa for £12k back in the 90's.The man without a signature.0

Yeah, no road tax to pay and 83mpg(claimed)
Will just about half my fuel bill.0 -
Brilliant economical practical car if you do high mileages, sounds like a good deal
(just no good if you only do short journeys, like most diesel cars these days the DPF clogs up)0
