Problems with Audible.co.uk

Just signed up to www.audible.co.uk to get 2 free downloads (then cancel my subscription)

I downloaded the Audible manager I needed since I already have itunes installed but when I downloaded my purchase it is coming up as an 'AA file' and won't play.

When I select play from right click and select itunes, itunes opens but does not play.

I have tried the various solutions on the audible help page, but am now confused as I really did follow the instructions word by word.

Anyone any ideas ? Thanks in advance

  • The .aa format file is used to protect the file you download from being passed on to other users. It is a long time since I came accross these files, but you have to register your media playing software with Audible before it will play. It is fairly simple and instructions should be on the audible web site. Windows media player on your PC should work or any of the other devices listed.
