3d tv package problems

We bought a 55" 3d tv last Sunday from a shop we have used before with no problems, the package was tv, 5 pair glasses 1 being a childs pair and the blu ray player, now when we signed for it he never said anything about the player and glasses not being in stock, he said afterwards that it would be Tuesday at the latest, its now the next monday and after a call this morning he said Samsung are like this some customers have been waiting 3 weeks!!!! now without the glasses we have paid £2.5k for a bloomin normal tv , he also said he does not know when the childs glasses will come

I am not the most patient of people and i hate being fobbed off and it feels like thats whats happening, in the shop he was great now the deal is done it like 'tough' .

Where do we stand as the tv is installed and how long do you think is suitable to wait??? would anyone else be peeved waiting or am i just a pain and very impatient :o

Thanks

didn't get what you paid for ...cancel or give him a time stipulation to supply the rest of the items ... at least that will make him get his finger out...

Id ask for my money back-that normall gives them a kick in the right direction... dont wait too long, or you forfit the rights... wirte a letter(recorded) saying you want the stuff that is meant to be in the deal (or theyve not kept their part of the bargin) or your money back and say what you said above- youve paid 2.5k for a normal t.v...which you could get for about 500...

you normally have 30days..but send something in writting ,recorded as you then,if it takes longer, have something to fall back on

Lol if he said "I spent 2.5k on a normal TV i could have got for £500" he'd be laughed out of everywhere.

A £500 40 inch (or larger) TV would NOT be anywhere near the spec of the samsung tv.

For one thing it'd not be full HD, LED, 200hz or have precision dimming. It won't have as good an image processor, the SD won't be as crisp and the colours won't be as vibrant.

Personally, I'd be a little peeved, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me. There's very little 3d content at the moment, so OP won't be getting much use out of the 3d aspect until around christmas time.

Enjoy your top end set... perhaps it would be a good idea to give him an ultimatum though, just to ensure he does his best to get your order, as blu ray disks on the 8000 samsungs are spectacular (I presume it's the 8000 series anyway, or you've been ripped off).

Did the guy sell you an HDMI 1.4 cable or just a standard one?

    Any update on this?
  • Freddies guarded judgement on this would have been to vote with my feet if the items were not in stock.

I think you are very brave to take on a 3D tv at this early stage in the technology. it is something i will be holding off on for a good few months. Supply issues are probably the least of your worries. you only have a small number of channels to watch and limited programming. I think the whole thing is a rip off. Hopefully in the future it will become cheaper, but I GUESS SOMEONE HAS TO "GO" FIRST.
