If they get DLA or attendance allowance, you can claim carer's allowance and an income support top up. If they don't, nothing i'm afraid.0

Hi, I am in exactly the same position as you regarding caring for my parents. Dad gets AA higher rate, mum AA lower rate. I get Carers Allowance, Income Support, Council Tc, but as I'm a home owner living nearby get mortgage interest paid, so not sure, but you would probably get help with rent.
I sympathise, it's a hard decision to make, but I'm an only child and my parents have always done their best for me- it is hard, very hard, very stressful, and can be isolating.
I divorced recently after a long marriage, so am a single parent with a 17 year old at college.
Get in touch with Carers allowance first and they will go through the process and advise you re the other stuff. You can also backdate for up to 12 weeks, and so possibly to the date you left work.0 -

Mike - please edit out your email address. If you claim carers allowance, income support and LHA, you may not get all your rent paid for.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
