I have a few friends who I've only given access to a limited profile. Unless I know someone in real life, or have known them online for a while (or know someone else that knows them well and can vouch for them), I am a bit reluctant to give them open access to my entire life. Seems to work quite well and I haven't had any weirdo stalkers for a while.

Glitchy forums tonight. Guess I'd better have some tea, I'm not hungry but my head hurts.

How do you do that Snaggs? Maybe I could restrict my nuisance friend, rather than delete completely :D

Click on Account (top right) ---> Edit Friends ---> Create new list (just under the 'search' box at the top).

Give your list a name, such as 'Limited Profile'.

Choose which friends you want to add to it.

Then click on Account ---> Privacy Settings ---> Customise settings (in blue, at the bottom of the list of information)

For each thing that you don't want the people on limited profile to see, click 'Customise' (for example, you might be happy for everyone to see your status updates, so you don't need to customise that one, but you might not want people on your limited profile to see your contact info, so you would choose 'customise' on that one).

When you click on the drop down box at the side of each item, it will bring up a 'Custom Privacy' box. The top box is who you DO want to share it with (ie 'Friends Only', etc). The box underneath says 'Hide this from'. Just type the name of the list in that box (so if you called it 'Limited Profile', type that).

It is a bit of effort to set up the limited profile the first time, because you have to do the above for each thing you don't want them to see, but once it is set up, you can add people to it or remove them as much as you like.

Sorry if any of this isn't clear, but give me a shout if you get stuck, or you want me to talk you through it more.

I really should be filling in an application form and I'd love the job and the extra money would be amazing but something is stopping me...
