uropa - it's a bit of a long story and hasn't been officially recommended yet so nothing is certain but basically I have severe SPD, was also born with congenital hip dislocation (also severe) and have ongoing hip/pelvis problems, plus they think baby is big (and i am small!). Added to genetics being that my mum's pelvis was too flat to deliver naturally and my sister nearly dying in childbirth as pushed too long naturally it's kind of for my own sanity!!! Due to me not facing up to it all and also my mw being away for 2 appointments it is all a bit late in the day!

I had 3 sections - 1 emergency after 24 hours labour..and the following 2 both planned. The difference was amazing..recovery from the planned section was SO much easier (despite having toddlers.)

Different consultant for 3rd offered me a trial of labour if I wanted it - but having 2 kids under 3 and a half and a due date of 19th December..meant I had no hesitation in going for the planned section - Dec 9th - and home for Christmas!

After the first they measured my pelvis - I have a straight sacrum and a pelvic angle of less than 90 degrees- I'd have struggled to deliver a barbie!

If yiu go for a section let me know and I'll pm you!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At home today so going for a shower in a min then will potter around, maybe do a bit of tidying to try and catch up. Not going to overdo it tho as that defeats the object of taking time off sick :o

thanks cycling, and everyone else! My mum had that straight sacrum thing, not sure how they can tell though - hers was by x-ray in the old days...just another thing adding to my anxiety!!

I feel more chilled this am, it's all v complicated but at the same time all so simple I guess. It is currently looking though like they won't actually let me have a section, it's not a right apparently (understandably)

Very good Tesco wine offer in the weekly email, I just got 12 bottles for about £55, free delivery and about £24 will come back in deals vouchers, looking forward to being able to drink a small glass!

Phoned the lab ward as advised at 8am, anaesthetist not actually in til 9 or 9.30, so awaiting call back to hear when to go in. She said she'll phone me by 10 so I will phone again if I've not heard as FiL is hanging around at home so he can take me there.
