    Morning all :)

A non-work day (well, a non-paid day anyway !) .... so, let's see what I can get done today ... firstly decluttering 2nd coffee of the morning!

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area

    Level Two
Wipe fronts of appliances and units
    Level Three
    Clean out the fridge thoroughly..

    Extras
    Thoroughly clean out 1 cupboard

Tuesday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
Open the windows and turn on some music!
    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Declutter the chairs, floor and a couple of shelves!![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
    Clean any fluffy electricals[/STRIKE]
Check those smoke alarms!.. get fire brigade to come do a home check if you have none..
    Level Three
    wash windows
[STRIKE]HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT! Tidy coats/bags/shoes[/STRIKE]
Empty and wash out any bins
    Extras
    1. Binbag dance
    2. [STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE]
    3. Wipe and water any plants
    4. Sort a paperwork pile.. filing, shredding and organising bills to be paid!

    My List (for the week):

    Make fairy skirt
[STRIKE]Ironing[/STRIKE] DH did it last night, whilst I had the girls round to do some knitting and cake eating :)
Venture out to the greenhouse and admit defeat on the tomatoes
    College homework
Type up mealplan and print off
Source lining paper for replacing the newspaper on top of the kitchen cupboards
    [STRIKE]Scan 1yrs worth of credit card statements[/STRIKE]
Clean the dining room windows (outside)

A lot of this got done yesterday, as I had people over last night, so the hall and stairs got a thorough clean, and I actually mopped the ground hall, utility room and kitchen, woo hoo :)

I am sure we all have one major hotspot .... for us, it is currently the "living room" ... not that currently you could or would want to, live in our "living room" .... it has no ceiling and is a builders yard repository ... my 27 bin bag thingamajig is to go into there and start to try and put all the rubbish in one place, for DH to dispose of down the tip.

The cleaning out of a cupboard yesterday, was an interesting experience (and not the cupboard I am actually needing to do) ... it meant we discovered a leaking stopcock and rotting back of cupboard ... which at 10pm was not a great end to the day! DH has now fixed the leak and the cupboard has been emptied temporarily.

Twinks' Hobnobs went down a storm last night :) And DH seems to be decluttering the flapjacks fairly successfully !!

Right, anyone in for a HHC at 10 ?

Hugs for you and DH uropachild. It is great that you can think positively about DH's possible redundancy. You have plenty of time to think about which path to follow then. I hope it all goes well at the consultant this afternoon:)

Didn't get much done in my HHC but I did clear and sweep the floor, sorted out the playpen, and cleared some of the clutter into its proper places. I also cleaned one of the windows. I can't remember the last time it was cleaned so it took a while. Oh and all this while having my toddler follow me around everywhere taking his toys out of the box while I am trying to tidy them up a bit.

Am probably going to do another HHC at 10:30 if anyone wants to.

  • How did you get on rachelet? - ETA oops cross posted! I'll join you again at 10.30

I managed 20 mins in the porch - tidied all the coats shoes and bags, swept the floor and did a bit of a cluttershuffle. Looking 100 times better and just needs a mop when I do the LR in a bit. There's a bag of clothes there for my brother that don't fit OH any more and a book, not seeing him until the 3rd Oct so don't know whether to leave it there or stash it somewhere else...if I hide it away there's a danger it'll get forgotten :/

Just fed bub so will settle him again, then going to S&S kitchen and hang some laundry out - gorgeous day here :)
