"Continuing care" for Autistic young man

Hi
I am helping my Sister with some research for her Autistic Spectrum son.
He is 18 years old and has just been granted "continuing care" by his local authority. He will be living, along with some other autistic people, in a house with care needs provided and paid for by the local authority.
I am trying to find out if this means his DLA will be stopped, or will it be paid direct to the local authority?
Any information gratefully received.
Thanks

See
http://www.nhs.uk/CarersDirect/moneyandlegal/disabilitybenefits/Pages/DLAandAAclaimsandchanges.aspx
which states :
The person I care for receives NHS “continuing care” funding to pay the residential care fees. Will they continue to receive DLA or AA?
If the NHS is paying the fees and the person you are looking after does not make any contribution themself, the rules about receiving DLA or AA in hospital are the ones that will apply.
Which suggests they will lose their DLA after 28 days.
