Help With Computer Sound?? Urgent!!

Hey Peeps,
Just wondering if you clever techie people could give me a hand.. i have just brought a computer and an LCD tv that i use for a monitor and i brought the speakers last week. however, ever since i have connected it all the sound on the computer keeps skipping, jumping/stuttering.
What is causing this?
Everything else is working on my computer why is this not?
What can i do to fix it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

what motherboard/soundcard/onboard sound do you have? Have you installed any other hardware in your pc and what graphics card have you got - oh and how are you connecting the pc to the tv?

click on start bottom left, then look for control panel, click on it to open it, then look for an icon that looks like a speaker called sounds and audio devices, click on that icon to open it, then click on the audio tab, then sound playback first one in the list, below the default device you will see a volume button but next to it you will see an advanced button, click on advanced button, then look for the performance tab click on that look at the two sliders hardware accleration and the one below it called sample rate conversion, make sure both sliders are set to full.

Have you connected to the correct speaker port? Normally there are 3 - 6 ports
If its coloured then put it in the green port.

Done done and still not working .... boo hoo think may have to rely on Dell... HELP! lol

have you checked my posting regarding sound accleration? sounds like you may have the slider set only half way instead of full
