Moneytransfer from Virgin credit card - bank account

Hi, I have a Virgin credit card and am thinking of requesting a £2000 money transfer into my accout (0% until next March at 3% fee).
Was just looking for someone else who has done this. Do you have to pay an agreed amount back per month like a personal loan or do you just pay whatever you like as long as it is the minimum payment or more?
Many thanks

You just need to pay the minimum amount each month till the end of 0% offer.
  • Have just done this myself with MBNA. I was told it was 3% transfer fee but it was only 1.9% when it was transferred so had a right result! Are they no longer offering the 12 and 13 month 0% deals?

All you need to pay back is the minimum monthly repayment (or more if you wish) and ensure it is paid off before the end of the deal if you don't want to be charged interest.

Thanks so much. Appreciate it! Might give them a ring and ask them can they extend the offer. (Or else I might have to move credit cards!)

Can I finally just ask, if by the time the 0% deal is over, I havn't paid off the balance from the money transfer, can I just transfer this balance to another 0% card (If I can get one!)
Just wanted to make sure it could be transferred in the same way an ordinary balance could be.

    Many thanks

It's just a 'balance', nothing special, so yes you can transfer it on again.

And on your 6 month offer...I had the same and rang up to successfully negotiate an extension to 12 months.
