tiling a bathroom

hi people,
we are having a new bathroom fitted( if we can within our budget), we have had a quote from the local bathroom firm which we thought was expensive.
so now we are getting quotes for individual bits of fitting things.
we have now had a local tiler quote which seems alot, just like someone elses opinion on it.
the job is to tile the bathroom 17 square metres and tile a 3m square floor, we pay for the tiles, grout, adhesive extra.
The labour cost is £600 ex vat.
As we have never done this sort of thing before, it seems expensive but that maybe the going rate.
All opinions are welcome
thanks

There is 4 - 5 days work there so £600 is not a bad price. Try and get other quotes to compare. Don't judge them on price alone. Ask for references and if you can see examples of there work. You won't notice if a tiler has done a good job. You will soon notice, however, if he has done a bad job!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
