Kerspersky 2009

Hello,
Someone got me Kerspersky 2009 as they had a spare which they didn't use. If the licence key will not upgrade the the 2010 version could I contact kaspersky support for a new key that will work. Or should I just go out and buy a newer version?

    I believe you mean Kaspersky. I'm guessing your friend had a 3 licence code? It should work unless it has not been used. Are there any other codes present?

    Can you not just use avira and malwarebytes together which is equally good minus the hassel?

    What was this 'spare' Kaspersky 2009 that you were given? Is it AntiVirus, or Internet Security? And is it an entirely unused copy?

    If so, just download Kaspersky 2011 (whichever version), and put the licence key in. Worked for me with KIS 2009, 3 users, 1 year...

    I meant Kaspersky 2009 - 3 users
    This is brand new in the box, so my friend hasn't used it at all. Just didn't need it as they got a free one with something they'd purchased... Just wandered if it's ok for me to use it as it a 2009 version..

    It's anti virus not internet security and an unused copy

    The 2009 licence is valid for twelve months from first ever activation .
    Valid for 2010 and 2011 KIS/KAV
