Splitting perennials

I have at last managed to propgate a decent perennial border, but now the plants are getting to a fair size, and I want to split and spread them.
I live right in the south of england, nr the coast. I cannot get out for a fortnight or three weeks. Will it still be OK to split them this late? Also, what fertiliser/bone marrow etc is it best to dig in with them?
Thanks

When do they flower?
As there is a rule of thumb that if they flower after June you split them in Spring.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I'll silll be splitting one or two of mine in October. I want to try & get it done before it gets frosty tho' to give them a good start. I usually dig in a spadeful of home-made garden compost or a bit of blood, fish & bone powder if I think they need a bit of extra ooomph.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
