Paid to much

I think we're getting to much money in regards to Income Support.

Partner just joined my claim, Income Support.

Partner claims Carer's Allowance as I get High rate Care and low mobility DLA.

We got 150.00 IS PLUS the carer's allowance.

So I imagine therefore they've not taken the disability premuim off me yet?

Can anybody specualte what we should be getting? Income Support pus Carer's Allowance?

Thanks

I make your IS entitlement to be £138.40 per week plus CA. However I am a tad fuzzy today so am happy to be corrected!

Just happened yesterday as this the first payment date as a couple. Checked the bank online and basically 150.00 IS , alongside the CA. So I therefore imagine a letter will appear to claim back the over payment. Will they just deduct this from the Income Support weekly, the same as they do for the Social Fund?

Yep, if you contact them once you've got the letter they'll arrange to make a small deduction. It may be that the amount is correct, first payments after a change can be for odd amounts.

It took a while for the Income Support Dept to get the claim pack. Supposed to be major issues with back logs and mail processing. The woman said JSA, ESA are worse at the moment in turn round for applications to claims.

Might explain why the local council are taking their time in getting back in relation to the housing Benefit and Council Tax.

A couple where one receives Carer's Allowance should get the following:-

Couple rate £102.75 + Disability Premium £39.85 (couple rate) + Carer Premium £30.05 = £172.65, from this the Carer's Allowance of £53.90 should be taken off leaving £118.75.

    Based on my knowledge.

I think Bryando receives HRC - so that would be an extra £19.65 per week.
