Warning: Nationwide not a "bank?!"
Comments

You are all missing my point here...the account had limited facility when opened and NOW has an additional facility.....to be used as a Debit Card -
this was not what was advertised and discussed:money: R
And ... as I've said once already ... Nationwide aren't a bank!!!0 -
How could Marting or Nationwide have given advice about anything other than the account as it was at the time? I doubt there was a paragraph saying this information is guaranteed not to change for all of time.
The simple reason why they wouldn't have offered the cashbuilder account is that it is a savings account, the cashcard account is not. You may not be aware but your child has had the facility, if they so wished to setup a Direct Debit and thus incur charges.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -
What a lovely way to describe your 16 year old to everyone. I'm beginning to feel very sorry for them.
But yes, Bernice is missing the point - the account was advertised "as was". Now it has a new feature. It's like arguing that you've owned half a dozen of a particular model of car and it always had a five gear box - now it has SIX GEARS!!! AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!! I NEVER ASKED FOR AN EXTRA GEAR! TAKE IT AWAY - I WANT A FIVE GEAR BOX!!!!!!!! (and where did that USB socket come from??? Why did they add one of those????)
It's called advancement - most people would be pleased with the extra service/features/benefits.You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

That was reference to my attempt at humour - should have guessed that was a pointless tact to take.

Santander are awful - mission in life is to warn people since 17-Sep-10, 18-Sep-10 realised one of thousands.0 -

I wasn't on hear to 'vent' merely to warn of new conditions attached to a straightforward cash in/out account but obviously feel some of you are R
But the account still can be straightforward - no one is forcing your son/daughter to use the DD card or facilities. OK, so it's a change to the conditions but does it really matter? I'm sure Nationwide didn't promise they would never change the conditions and I can't see that anyone could be harmed by said change.0 -
Perhaps thos os a little simplistic But... if you don't like any changes made to your financial arrangements then change them for goodnedss sake!
There are dozens of financial institutions out there, Many (most?) of them better than Nationwide and more responsive to customer requirements.0 -
I have a disability...its not always easy to change things ...
Don't worry will not be posting here again - i think some of you are quite mean...0
