DLA - Need advice please?

How do I go about stopping dla?

    Ring the DLA helpline should appear on letters recieved or google it. They should put you through to whoever it is you need to talk to, they'll ask why you no longer wish to claim and stop benefit.

    If your claiming other benefits and get premiums because of DLA you'll need to inform DWP and poss H/CT benefits section too.

    I will go along with these comments, except they never asked why I no longer wished to continue with my claim. I was dreading that question and having to explain myself, but thankfully that never arose.

    Yes, you will have to notify the other benefit providers as well. In my case that was the old Disabled Persons Tax Credit, and Council Tax Benefit, and I think there was another one, but can't remember, that gave a disability premium.

    Don't worry they won't question your motives for stopping the claim, quite honestly I would think they would be more than happy to oblige. To me it was a relief to get off it and think to myself that I was 'normal' again.
