Council centres are ok, until they fail for something.
Then you need another day to sort out the repair, and another day to get it back for a re-test.
I use a local place I trust, they charge near enough full whack at £50, if they fail it it's for things it needs to fail on, not the stupid things, and they know that I'll be fixing it myself anyway.

    Thank you.

I think sometimes people fall into the trap of thinking if they take their car to a council centre, it'll pass, because every garage fails cars to make money.

You have more chance of a failing an MOT test on any vehicle than passing, indeed 22% of cars fail their first MOT (normally three years from registration.)
