Grow bags after the toms have finished

I'm very, very new to growing anything and started with some grow bags and tubs and planted toms and peppers.
I've been reasonably pleased with the results but an now wondering about what to do with the grow bags - will the toms just eventually die off? Will the grow bags have any nutrients left to use the soil in tubs for other things?
Sorry to sound stoopid

I just reused mine in some pots to put some bulbs in it. I usually throw old peat into compost bin and its them mixed with green waste, but my compost bin is full now0

I usually add mine to the composter and mix it in well with the peelings etc.

It's fine for using to grow bulbs in pots if you add in some slow release fertilizer granules. Then after the bulbs are finished spread it as a top dressing in your flower begds or ad it to the compost bins. There won't be much goodness left in it though to grow anything else much and pests and diseases will have started to build up in it by then so don't use it for a third round in containers.Val.0

Yes, agree it's fine for bulbs. I also use mine for growing winter salads such as rocket, mizuna, lamb's lettuce, etc, in the greenhouse. Last Boxing Day, despite snow on the ground, I was out in the greenhouse (unheated) picking 3 different types of salad leaves. I think anything bigger, the old growbags probably wouldn't have sufficient nutrients left.2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
I some times re use mine in pots for other types of plants IE if I have grown toms in one year, I would not put spuds in there the next as they are both from the same family. I some times use it as a top dressing around vegetables/fruit/flowers in the ground0
