I have a 3 tier steamer which I bought from Argos many years ago it's perfect for cooking rice, potatoes and other vegetables. I also have a decent Tefal griddle pan and a cast iron griddle for steak etc, my other saucepans and wok are Tesco Value and I replace them as required.

  • Not very cheap but SO pretty!! These http://www.pots-and-pans.co.uk/acatalog/Kitchen_Aid_Cookware.html KitchenAid ones have my vote - they are on my Chrismas list and I am hinting HEAVILY to my OH :D They are non stick and if they are any way as good as the food mixer then worth every penny!

You may be surprised to now that these pans are made in Liverpool by Meyer/Prestige! Also the KA Mincers and Slicer attachments are made in Germany. The problem is that KA is now owned by Whirlpool and a lot of the US users are now saying that the quality is way down on when it was owned by Hobart.

If my OH gave me pans for Xmas, no matter how beautiful, I'd hit him over the head with them :rotfl:

I know, I know but I've just starting to get into cooking thanks to the OS board and we are moving house so it would be a nice treat that we wouldn't normally buy! He's rubbish at presents anyway so I might as well tell him in the hopes of something decent! Otherwise I'll end up with a cup of tea and a kiss!!!!!:D
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch...:D
