Claiming Charges back from the Halifax

Can someone please tell me how long the process takes I know what time you should allow but how long does this actually take, I've requested my statements on the 8th and they've cashed the £10 cheque but I'm still waiting for my statements. Am I being realistic thinking I could get this completed for christmas.

Hi, the timescale varies on amounts and banks but if you have a look at https://www.!!!!!!.uk/forum you will find more help there. as for the statements they have 40 days from the date they cashed the cheque. send them the letter at the above forum to give them a little nudge and remind them of this, it also covers you if they fail to comply.
christmas is a reasonable expectation.
